Funke Akindele-Bello is a Nigerian actress, director, script writer and producer. Her foray into acting began with a popular United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)-sponsored sitcom on reproductive health, titled, I Need to Know, which ran from 1998 to 2002. With over 100 movies to her credit, Funke is a three-time recipient of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award, in the ‘Best Actress in a Comedy ‘ category, for her role in the acclaimed Jenifa’s Diary TV series. She is the CEO of Scene One Productions Ltd, a film production company, and SceneOneTV, an app and online streaming platform.
